The FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS started in 2004 and is now one of the best known light art festivals in the world. During the festival, international artists present their brilliant light installations and turn landmarks, monuments and historical buildings into artful displays. The light installation stages show the rapid development of technology and the importance of easy and fast access to digital communication for all people. In addition, the Oberbaumbrücke is part of the Berlin Bear Tour and shines on September 19th in bright colors.
