In 2018 MP Studio once again participated in one of the most prestigious and well known light - art festivals in the world - Festival of Lights Berlin. The festival takes place every year as international artists are invited to show their creativity and project their art on the capital city’s landmarks, monuments, buildings and squares. Last year the event had more than 3 million visitors.

Our installation “Connecting Cultures” was the only installation that was projected on the infamous Brandenburg Gate during the festival. Dedicated to Berlin’s diversity, “Connecting Cultures” combines 3D projection mapping, sound effects and music to transform the monument entirely. The installation took the audience on a 10-minute long trip to show the beauty of different cultures from all around the world.

This marked the second time MP Studio does a 3D projection mapping on the Brandenburg Gate during the Festival of Lights Berlin. In 2015 we competed against some of the best 3D projection mapping creators and won the Audience Award for our show on the monument. In 2016 MP Studio won 3rd place in the New Dimensions category and in 2018 we were given the Special Award.
